HabitatDeciduous and mixed woodlands, swamps and streamside woods, open woods, parks, and tree-rich suburban or urban settings.

BehaviorInquisitive, acrobatic foliage-gleaner; often hangs upside down while taking insects from leaves and bark. Typically forages in social flocks outside the breeding season and carries food to a perch to handle it.
